This tension fabric shade structure cools the amphitheater at San Diego County’s Sweetwater Summit Regional Park. Four tensile shade sails warp into 3D hyperbolic paraboloids.
The cantilevered beams project 20’-6” out from columns covering spectators with 2,178 square feet of cool shade. The reinforced, drilled pier footings measure 36” diameter x 10’ deep.
